We love the mentoring of elementary students by the high schoolers. My kids have always looked up to the older kids and feel special when the high schoolers know their names and cheer for them at their sporting events.
I love that our kids come home singing praise and worship songs. That makes us very happy!
DCS has proven to be one of the ‘right’ parenting choices we’ve made. If you are just checking it out, read the mission statement. That message is exemplified by the staff, the children and their families.
I know that what we teach at home Biblically will also be taught and backed up at school. It is like a family in that the teachers hold our kiddos accountable academically as well as spiritually.
I am really impressed with the mentorship that the younger kids get from the older kids and the sense of community that comes from that.
It reminds me of the small school I went to when I was growing up. It really does take a village to raise a kid. And it seems like people genuinely care about each other here.
Actions and words of the staff, teachers, parents and students reveal a genuine love of God, appreciation for academic excellence and willingness to help and encourage each other.
Our daughter has grown leaps and bounds with her faith and in her education since attending Damascus Christian School.
The things I love the most about Damascus Christian are how warm and welcoming the staff and families have all been. I know that my son is safe and being taken care of both academically and spiritually with the love of the Lord.
I value that the teachers have the ability to be involved with all the children. The classes are small enough where things usually do not get overlooked.
