Also, this week we received notification of several of our Varsity Volleyball athletes making the 2019 1A Volleyball All-State Team.  Congratulations to Savannah Hale, Junior, for receiving the 3rd highest in votes from a minimum of 6 different leagues around the state and making 1st Team All State.  Katie Bailey, Senior and Sierra Hale, Freshman also received votes from at least 2 different leagues and made Honorable Mention.  All that, while also maintaining Honors and Highest Honors in their academics here at DCS! Way to Go Girls!!

CHECK OUT THE EAGLE EYE for next week's schedule of events, chapels, book clubs and sporting competition.  Please note: there is No Friday Feast next week. Also, if you've been meaning to catch a basketball game or two this season and haven't had the chance, you may want to get them on your calendar.  We have only a couple weeks left of regular season games before district playoffs and state playoffs.  Currently our Varsity Lady Eagles are ranked 6th in the State and our Varsity Boys are ranked 2nd!

RE-ENROLLMENT: It is that time of year again to start looking towards the next school year.  We have already been conducting tours, responding to inquiries and have received new student applications for the 2020-2021 school year.  It is essential that you re-enroll for next year by the March 13th deadline for three reasons.  First, to guarantee your child’s spot in their class.  Second, to provide us with the information necessary to create our budget for the 2020-2021 school year.  Third, to enable your secondary student to forecast for classes next year. You should have received an email on Monday with instructions on how to complete the re-enrollment process for your student(s). If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the school office. Additionally, if you have an incoming new student for this next school year (particularly for our Pre-K, Kindergarten or 1st grade classes), we encourage you to submit an application for enrollment as soon as possible before the classes fill up. We have had a wait list on some of our classes the last few years and wouldn't want you to miss out! Thank you and we look forward to another great year.

SECONDARY CONFERENCES are February 21st. We are trying something different for our 7th – 12th grade Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences.  We will be holding conferences on Friday, February 21st.  During a 2-hour time frame from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M., we will have arena Conferences in the lower hallway (open house style like we have done the past several years).  Then from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., we will be having scheduled conferences with students and families we specifically want to touch base with.  We are hoping this provides us with a greater opportunity to connect with our students and their families before the grading term ends.   Though you are always welcome to contact teachers with any questions or concerns you have at any time of the school year.
