February 22-26, 2021 Eagle Eye

We are thankful to be out of the woods in terms of weather. However, the storm has left lots of clean up and repairs needed from damage done.  We also still have staff and school families without power a week later. Please join us in prayer for our school community and the local crews working to restore power. If you are in need of assistance, please don't hesitate to contact the church or school.

Thank You, thank you, thank you for the surprise birthday parade! Amazingly, I was totally surprised.  It was a blessing, an encouragement, and such an expression of your love. So many decorations, flowers, cards, candy. You out-did yourselves. Thank you again!  Love, Louise Walker

We have a lot coming up next week with the first volleyball games of the season getting underway, spirit week, clothing drive and more! Check out the attached Eagle Eye to make sure you are up to date on next week's schedule and upcoming events!

What’s Spirit Week You Ask? Spirit Week is a fun week of special activities throughout the campus to build school spirit.  Normally, there are several opportunities for Buddy classes to interact. This year, Spirit Week is a bit different since we cannot mix cohorts due to COVID.  However, we will still enjoy many of the usual aspects of Spirit Week:

  • Fun dress-up days for the whole school (open the eagle eye attachment for a list of dress up days!)
  • Class posters by grades 9-12
  • Hallway decorations by the Junior High
  • High School Honor Court

Throughout the week, classes will receive points based on their participation in their various, grade specific activities. At the end of the week, one high school class, one junior high class, and one elementary class will be chosen within their age group as the class with the most school spirit (based on overall points earned). Junior high and high school prizes are to be determined. The elementary class prize will be a movie & popcorn party.

DCS Clothing Drive - What better way to show our school spirit than to come together to support the needs of others!  Please join the 6th grade class in collecting as much new or gently used clothing between Monday, Feb 22nd and Friday, March 5th.  See the attached flyer for all the details!

Lastly, check out the 3 attached flyers on upcoming DCC sponsored events!  The first one is the God Loves You Drive Thru TOMORROW!
