NWEA MAPS Testing: DCS has been using MAPS as a testing platform for half a dozen years. We suspended testing last year due to COVID-19 but will be starting again this year.  We test twice a year in the Fall and Spring. Students take 2-3 sections in math, reading and language and each section takes about 1 hour.  This testing meets requirements for accreditation and provides data to inform instruction.  More information can be found here.

Conferences: Elementary conferences will be by appointment during the week of November 8th.  Secondary conferences will be on November 10th (this is a change from the original date of October 12th), with team conferences by appointment from 3:30-5:30 PM and arena conferences in the gym for all secondary parents from 5:30-8:00 PM.

Operation Christmas Child: If you’d like to bless children around the world, please send in your Operation Christmas Child donation between Monday, October 25th and Friday, November 5th. New toys, school supplies, and personal hygiene items are greatly appreciated. (No war items, food/candy, or liquids/gels {toothpaste}). Looking forward to seeing what God does through DCS this year!

Damascus Christian Student Council is excited to invite all elementary students and their families to our annual elementary pumpkin smash! This event will take place on Friday, October 29 from 6:00-8:30 pm. Kids will get to either paint pumpkins for $5 or smash pumpkins for $10 with the chance of winning a gift card. A photo booth will be available for family pictures, and there will be drinks and snacks for sale, including a caramel apple bar. This is a great way to spend an evening as a family and support the Damascus Student Council! Please come and join us, we would love to have you! If you have any questions feel free to email nairi.sarkissian@dcs4you.org. (Since there will be a limited amount of pumpkins, the earlier you arrive the better!)
