Papa Was a Preacher is set in the 1920’s in rural Texas. This delightful comedy is about a Methodist preacher and his large family who moves from a large successful church in Dallas, Texas to a small west Texas town with a church that has many challenges. As with any preacher’s kids, every move the Porter children make is as if they are under the communities’ magnifying glass. Miss Jonas, the town busybody, has a lot to report about the shenanigans of the Porter children, along with the local gang picking on the “new” kids. And to top it off you have two son’s competing for one girl’s affections while the local girls are competing for the Porter boys’ affections. This touching yet humorous story is sure to bring about chuckles and laughter throughout the evening. Buy your tickets today!
