October 23-28, 2023 - Eagle Eye News

Continued Parking Lot Safety Concerns – When picking up your student at the end of the school day, we ask that you wait in your car in the pickup line until your student(s) is delivered to your car. If you would like to connect with other parents at pickup time, please do so in the lower portion of the parking lot by the playground after you have retrieved your child(ren).  Parents should not congregate on the sidewalk surrounding the gym during afternoon pickup, as this poses serious safety concerns.

School Picture Packets were sent home with your student last week. Not happy with the picture? Don’t worry, Picture Retakes are this week, Thursday, October 26th. For retakes, simply have your student bring their original picture packet on retake day and turn it in to the photographer. Did your student miss picture day? No worries…follow steps 1 and 2 to pre-order your student’s preferred picture packet. Your student will be photographed on Picture Retake Day.

  1. Go to mylifetouch.com
  2. Enter DCS Picture Retake Day ID EVTSBC68S

With only 2 weeks remaining in the 1st quarter, please be checking in with your child on how they are doing with their workload and grades. Please encourage them to have all work completed and turned in on time. Remember, you can also check your student’s current grades, missing assignments, quizzes, and tests at any time during the school year through your Family Portal login.

Secondary Conferences are this Friday Evening, October 27th. They will be held arena style in the DCS gym from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. At least one parent from each family with secondary students (7th-12th Grade) should plan on attending.
