January 29 - February 3, 2024 - Eagle Eye News

We are rolling into another full week! Check out all that’s going on in this week’s edition of the Eagle Eye. The week of snow and ice only slowed us down for a bit, get a recap of What’s Happening at DCS!

2nd quarter / 1st semester grades are getting wrapped up and report cards will go out later this week. If you have questions regarding grades, please contact the teacher.

Thank you to everyone who completed their re-enrollment before the deadline. With a 96% retention rate and 45 new student applications already submitted, we are looking ahead and making plans for the 2024-2025 school year. If you have a new student in your family you were planning on enrolling, now is the time to get those applications submitted! Contact Heidi Hale in the school office if you have questions.

From now until Friday, February 9th, secondary students can submit an add/drop form for elective change requests. Requests are subject to Admin approval and availability in some classes are limited. Forms can be picked up in the school office or found on our website under resources & links.

DCS Drama is holding auditions for their spring musical, Seussical! Now one of the most performed shows in America, Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza featuring many of Dr. Seuss's most loved characters as they transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. Auditions are this Tuesday, January 30th, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm in the auditorium. Auditions are open to students 6th grade and up! Students are asked to prepare a one-minute monologue and a minute of a song. Songs from Seussical are encouraged but not required.

This is your last chance to get signed up for the free Speech & Language Screenings happening on Tuesday, January 30th! Check out the flier for details and scan the QR code to sign up by January 29th.
