February 19-24, 2024 - Eagle Eye News

We have a shortened week, with tomorrow as a no school day in celebration of Presidents’ Day. What are we celebrating on Presidents’ Day, you ask? We honor our first President, George Washington, whose birthday was February 22nd. We also traditionally honor President Abraham Lincoln, whose birthday was February 12th. So, as you enjoy the day off tomorrow, take a moment to thank the Lord for his guiding hand over our country’s past leaders and pray for our country’s current leaders.

Our Varsity Boys Basketball team battled hard in the Valley 10 League District Tournament game on Friday afternoon. It was a close game with only a 1-point difference in the final score. While the boys were not able to secure the win in the final seconds, they did, however, secure a wild card spot to the 1st round of the OSAA State Championships. They will travel to Sherman County on Tuesday to fight once again for a chance to move on to the next level of the State Championships. In addition to that, our Junior High boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will compete on Thursday in Round 1 of the Metro Christian League Playoffs. Details are still being determined for those games. An update will go out when we have those details. Here is a look at this week’s edition of the Eagle Eye
