COVID Update:
Thank you to everyone for your diligence and efforts this last week as we worked through the cases brought about by the latest variant surge. We are not alone in our experience, as many other schools, businesses and families in our region have found themselves dealing with the same level, if not more, of an impact by COVID. We are so thankful and appreciative of your partnership with us as we do all we can to minimize the spread of COVID within our community, while continuing the ministry of Damascus Christian School.
As we return to class next week, please continue to be vigilant in watching for illness in your student. Many of the cases we have seen present as a sore throat or headache, and although we are not required to exclude for those symptoms, we ask that you take the extra precautions to watch your child at home for development of further symptoms.
With the increase in home testing, please keep your student home and notify the school if there is an exposure in the home or he/she tests positive. As per the guidelines, testing or quarantine are required for return to school if your student has fever/chills, cough, loss of taste/smell, or shortness of breath.
Lastly, we want to acknowledge the continued efforts we have noticed in our student body to comply with the mask guidelines. With recent updates to the COVID quarantine timeline, students may be able to quarantine for 5 days. With the return to school after 5 days, the student must be masked for an additional 5 days regardless of a medical mask exemption. Otherwise, students are welcome to complete a 10-day quarantine period. As always, please notify the office of all absences and include the reason for the absence in your email, along with any symptoms of illness.
Re-Enrollment and New Student Applications for Siblings:
Re-Enrollment is HERE! You should receive an instructional email regarding re-enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year. Upon receipt of the email, you will be able to login and complete your student’s re-enrollment packet and reserve their spot for the next school year.
For your review, the 2022-2023 tuition schedule is available under the admissions tab on our school website. FACTS Financial Aid applications for next year should also be available.
Additionally, new student applications are live as well. Any currently enrolled families that have new students/siblings they would like to enroll for the 2022-2023 school year will need to complete and submit new student applications at this time as well.

New Medical Health Management System:
We are excited to announce our partnership with Magnus Health, an online medical health management system. With Magnus Health, you will have continuous, secure access to your child's health record as well as the ability to make updates when needed. In conjunction with your re-enrollment packet, you will need to access the Magnus Health Student Medical Record (SMR) account for each of your students through your FACTS Family Portal (ParentsWeb) login. See the medical section of your re-enrollment packet for more instructions.
FlashAlert for School Closures:
In the event of a school delay or closure, we utilize flash alert for quick notification to our school families. If you haven’t already, you will want to go to flashalert.net to create or manage your subscription.
