School Picture Day is this Tuesday, 9/20! You should be receiving email reminders from Lifetouch. If you haven’t already, you will want to order your preferred picture packet before picture day. Don’t delay…follow the easy 3-Step Process:
- Go to mylifetouch.com
- Enter our DCS Picture Day ID EVT8QGCXW
- Order your perfect package – and don’t worry about returning anything on Picture Day! ATTENTION: You must order picture packets for your student using their first and last name as it is listed in our student database (RenWeb). If you order a picture packet using a different name (i.e., middle name, nickname or modified last name) that is different from their name as it’s listed, their picture will not match up with their order and you will not get their picture packet in a timely manner.
Absence/Appointment Notification – The issue this last week with the new attendance email has been rectified. Please email dcsattendance@damascuscc.org or click the “Report an Absence” button on the home page of our website www.dcs4you.org. Remember, parents must notify the school office of any absence (part or full day) or scheduled appointment. If your student is late to school, they must sign in through the school office before going to class. All elementary age students must be accompanied by an adult to sign them in.
Pick-up Times are 3:00 PM for Elementary and 3:15 PM for Secondary students. We have had some parents arriving as early as 2:15 PM for pick-up. To avoid congestion, if arriving before 2:45 PM, please park in the lower parking lot to wait for the scheduled pick-up time. Thank You!
Homework when Absent - If your student is out for an absence, please allow teachers a minimum 24 hours to gather homework and have it ready for pick-up in the school office. Most of the time, homework pick up will not be available on the same day. For secondary students, assignments are often posted on Google Classroom and/or their Family Portal (RenWeb).
As a reminder from the Parent-Student Handbook, “To make up classwork, students will receive one day for every one day absent plus an additional day to make up work. (For example, if a student misses two school days, they have three school days to make up that work.)"
MOVIE NIGHT! This Friday, 9/23, Student Council would like to invite you to a movie night in the auditorium! Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. Soda ($1) and popcorn ($2) will be available for purchase. Bringing blankets or wearing pajamas is encouraged! We hope to see you there!!

Secondary movie is Shrek 2 from 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
