The annual DCC/DCS Harvest Festival is coming up on Monday, October 31st, from 5:00-8:00 P.M.  This carnival-style festival provides hundreds of kids in our community with a fun and safe alternative to Halloween's trick-or-treating.  The Harvest Festival houses over thirty games and booths, distributes thousands of pieces of candy, and welcomes many children who will experience the love of Christ through volunteers' joy and service.  It is our largest outreach to children in our community!  Plan to bring your whole family and enjoy a fun-filled night! You can also serve in one or more of the following ways.

To put on such an event...

(1) We need volunteers to man the booths and food court.  Volunteers will be showing God's love and grace to all those in attendance--eager children, parents, the fire department, and local businesses.

(2) We need to collect door prizes to raffle off during the event.

(3) This event would be nothing without candy. You may donate bags of individually wrapped candy in the church foyer. Gently used toys can also be donated for the Toy Shoppe booth.

If you would like to contribute a small gift certificate from your business or would like to offer your services in manning a booth, please contact Zach and Rachel Davidson (503-290-9393).  See you there!

With only two weeks remaining in the 1st quarter, please be checking in with your child on how they are doing with their workload and grades.  Please encourage them to have all work completed and turned in on time. Remember, you can also be checking your student’s current grades at any time during the school year through your Family Portal login.

Elementary conferences will be by appointment on Thursday, November 10th unless otherwise arranged by your child’s teacher. If you have not already received an email, you should be getting one from your child’s teacher with a link to sign up for a conference time. Please note: Thursday, November 10th is a no school day for kindergarten through 6th grade only.  Secondary students will be in school as normal.

Parents, students, and teachers are invited to contribute photos to the yearbook!! Please visit https://www.ybkplus.com or scan one of the posted QR codes around the school to upload your best photos of school activities and events. You'll need to sign in as a guest and enter our school’s name to get started, then simply upload your photos in the most appropriate category! Email jenn.lott@damascuscc.org if you have any questions.
