February 6-11, 2023 Eagle Eye News

Welcome to the 20th edition of the 2022-2023 Eagle Eye. The Big question this past week was will we have 6 more weeks of Winter or is Spring coming our way? Punxsutawney Phil has let us know that there are 6 more weeks of Winter headed our way. However, he only has a 39% accuracy rate while Staten Island Chuck said Spring is near and he has an 80% accuracy rating. Cluxatawney Henrietta is also predicting early Spring. After last year’s Spring, I am stickin’ with Chuck and Henrietta!

Basketball regular season is starting to wind down.  There are only a few more weeks of games on the calendar.  Take some time out of your busy schedule to catch a game or two and mark your calendars for post season playoff games. Our Junior High Boys are currently undefeated and have their sights fixed on the Metro Christian League Championship title later this month. Varsity Boys Basketball has seen continued growth and climb in the rankings over the season. Our Lady Eagles are currently ranked 1st in league, 2nd in OSAA State rankings, and 1st in the state coach’s poll. However you slice it, there is some good basketball coming our way. GO EAGLES!!

Secondary Conferences will be this Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM. They will be held arena style in the Auditorium. At least one parent from each family with secondary students (7th-12th grade) should plan on attending.
